Our Story

One table.Many worlds.

From the smoky richness of suya to the delicate balance of internationally inspired cuisine, Lumière celebrates the flavours that connect cultures. Every plate is an invitation to experience something familiar, something unexpected, and something unforgettable.

We buy from Nigerian farms, markets and smokehouses, and we cook with technique learned in Lyon, Tokyo and Lagos. Nothing here is simplified for anyone's palate.

The Kitchen

Chef Amara Laurent

Executive Chef & Culinary Director

Amara grew up between her grandmother's kitchen in Enugu and the pastry sections of Lyon and Paris. She learned to pound yam before she learned to make a beurre blanc, and she has never accepted that the two belong to different worlds.

After a decade across Europe, she came home to open Lumière with a single rule for the kitchen: no Nigerian dish is simplified for a foreign palate, and no international dish is served without a reason for being on this table.

We don't choose between tradition and innovation. We let them speak to each other.

Guests

In their words.

The jollof arrived and the whole table went quiet. Then the tenderloin arrived and it happened again.

Anniversary dinner

I've eaten in Lagos, London and Paris. This is the first place that made all three feel like one menu.

Table for two

We hosted twelve guests in the private room. Not one detail was missed, and the egusi was better than my mother's — don't tell her.
